Our club was founded in 1991. We have around 30 members at the moment. The ages of our members are in 20s to 80s.
Our club hosting capacity is 12 ambassadors maximum.
We carry out 2 exchange programs every year. (1 inbound and 1 outbound)

About the exchanges:
The hosts will meet ambassadors at Nagasaki airport or Nagasaki station.
We have a welcome party and/or a farewell party with ambassadors, host families, and club members. We usually arrange one day bus tour around Nagasaki city.  Furthermore, our host coordinator prepares a sightseeing tour to some of the famous spots, for example Glover Garden, The Atomic Bomb Museum, Dejima Museum of History, Mt.Inasa.
The hosts will take ambassadors to the airport or to the station for departure.
 

About the region:
Nagasaki is located in the southwest of Japan on the island of Kyushu.  Embraced by mountains on one side, and bordered by the sea on the other, the prefecture is surrounded on all sides by natural beauty. It is also full of historical, traditional and cultural riches. Historically, Nagasaki played an important role in Japan's international relations. An extensive amount of culture and knowledge from Asia and Europe flowed to and from Japan via Nagasaki and contributed greatly to the modernization of Japan.
The population of Nagasaki prefecture is about 1.3 million, and about 400 thousand in Nagasaki city.

About the climate:
Nagasaki has the typical humid subtropical climate. Spring and fall are good seasons to visit Nagasaki.
The temperature during spring (March to May)  is between 10 degrees and 20 degrees Celsius. In the end of March until early April, cherry blossoms are usually in full bloom. The rainy season starts in mid-June and lasts about a month. Summer is extremely hot and humid. In fall (October to November), the air is fresh and it's the best time to see the autumn foliage.

About transportation: 
The Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu) provides rail transportation on the Nagasaki Main Line, which terminal is at Nagasaki Station. Also Nagasaki Electric Tramway is one of the useful public transportation for the citizens. 

About the fee: 
Cost of the standard program for one week journey is about $150 per one ambassador.
Including one day trip, entrance fee for the sightseeing spots, lunch and dinner and tram fee for the city tour.
